Kimberly White

Kimberly White is a Bay Area native who has called El Cerrito home since the early 2000s. A finance executive, public agency operations leader, and public-sector strategist, she brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience to her campaign for City Council and a record of results that speaks for itself.

For Kimberly, El Cerrito is not just where she works on behalf of residents, it is where she has built her life. For more than 20 years, she has put down roots here, and she has fallen in love with the people who make this city what it is: her neighbors, her community. She sees them while doing Pilates, jogging through the neighborhood, and walking the natural hillside trails, the same people who keep showing up because they care.

At BART, Kimberly held several senior leadership roles, including head of Operating Budgets and executive leadership in Operations Administration, where her work spanned finance, safety, quality, and maintenance. She led the team that saved BART more than $140 million over five years, in close partnership with unions, without a single layoff, and achieved the lowest cost per passenger mile in the country. Today, as Managing Director of Charis Advisory Group, she advises public-sector executives across the country on finance, strategy, and organizational performance. Her work and counsel move the needle, even when things seem hard.

Since joining El Cerrito's Financial Advisory Board in 2022, including one year as Chair, Kimberly has reviewed the City's budgets, audits, long-term financial plans, and debt management decisions firsthand. She understands El Cerrito's fiscal risks, and she has the experience, discipline, and judgment to address them. Quality of life for every resident is worth fighting for. Kimberly White is ready to lead.
